I'm one year older today, or perhaps let's make that one year wiser and full of new experiences. Today was a regular day, went to work, came home, Samantha was in her usual Monday self; not hungry & cranky. My mom came over, she baked a cake so we had that after dinner, and now it's 9:30pm and Joe is upstairs with Sam for the 2nd time attempting to put her to bed. Seriously, this bed time thing is killing us, I don't know what we're doing wrong but lately it's been taking us a long time to get her to sleep. Yet with my mil, and my own mom it's usually a breeze. What gives?
I was at a party on Saturday night at my neighbour's house and one of her friend's made an amazing artichoke dip. I could've eaten it all night long. She gave me the recipe so I'm sharing it here with all just in case anyone is having a party in the upcoming weeks. I know I'll be making it this Saturday for our own Christmas party. Here it is
2 cans quartered artichoke hearts (chop finely when preparing)
2 cups mayonnaise
4 cloves garlic (finely minced)
8 tbsp. parmesan cheese
2 tsps. paprika sprinkled on top
Mix ingredients together and put in a baking dish. Sprinkle paprika over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 min. Serve HOT! Nice to serve with Stacey's pita chips from Costco.
Recipe also cross posted here!

That dip sounds yummy!
Happy happy Birthday!
Yay for December babies!
My parents do everything with the Boy better than I do.
Happy birthday and thanks for the recipe. Sounds yummy!
As for bed-time, I always get the whining, while my mom never does. That's life, I guess. I usually have to walk out of Pumpkin's room while she is still whining and crying or else I'll be in there all night reading stories.
our bedtime rituals go from the sublime to the ridiculous, and it's rarely the same thing that works two weeks in a row. toddlers.
that dip looks yummy. gonna give the recipe to my mom so she can make it, and i can just eat it ;)
mmm that dip looks yummy.
fat chance I'll ever make it.
I hear toddlers fight bedtime with their parents because they want to spend more time with us.
lucky us.
poor you!
mine is up all hours of the night now with the arrival of #2. it is torture.
Merry Christmas Gabriella to you and your family! See you back in the office in January. :)
