My husband considers me to be somewhat of a technological expert when it comes to hooking up any electronics in our house. He's right, but when you have a 2 year old around, electronic devices that are supposed to be up to date with today's technology and a husband that is huffing and puffing and supposed to be keeping your child occupied what was supposed to be a one hour job tops turned into a 4 hour job. It's still not complete. Wires that worked with our old DVD player are not compatible with our new state of the art DVD recorder. Which blows my mind. Our satellite receiver has picture but no sound because we need another wire in order to bypass the new Rogers HD box that my husband had to get. Although I am enjoying watching some of the channels in HD and getting the 5.0 Dolby sound. But the frustration and headaches today nearly killed me. I was ready to chuck everything out the door. I now know why audio & vid techies charge so much to set up your system. It's one job I never want to do again.
As to the weight loss challenge, it started off well this morning. Asian pear, musli crackers and coffee for breakfast. By 11am though I was starving and after this afternoon's stress, muffins, sour cream & onion chips and two peanut butter sandwiches have been consumed along with a plate of pasta. Yes it's starting off well ;-).

That's funny. My first day of diet started with sour cream and onion chips too.
I'm glad that other people have a crazy mess of wires and components that don't seem to all want to work together. I thought our set-up was uniquely ridiculous.
I just had this conversation with big daddy yesterday.
Isn't all the high tech stuff supposed to make our lives easier?
I still haven't watched any home video's on anything other than our computer.
good thing we got that super expensive recordable DVD player.
ah boys and their toys.
good luck with the diet.
I'm on the wagon diet.
water water and more water.

happy new year!!
