Why Bother

Back in December I took part in a Secret Ornament Swap hosted by Julie. I thought it was a great idea. Buy an ornament and send it off to the person you were matched with. When you received your ornament you were supposed to take a picture and post it and link back to the person who gave it to you. I was pretty excited about it and I took a lot of time to choose my ornament. I didn't know too much about my partner, just from what I gathered by reading her blog. So I choose my ornament, and it wasn't cheap by the way, and mailed it off right away. It was about 3 weeks before Christmas. After a week went by I began checking to see if she received it. I checked all the way up until Christmas Eve. I figured it was lost. I emailed her after the holidays and apologized that she didn't receive it and felt bad that it got lost. Well she emailed me back and said she did get it but never got around to posting about it but would shortly. She never has and she posts regularly. This just irks me, I mean why participate in something if you're not even going to acknowledge the fact and play along. Why bother.
